Cardi has won at every level from Training through Intermediaire 1 including three Region 6 Championships. His scores have remained consistent from the upper 60s to 73.3% at I1 and I1 Musical Freestyle. He has competed with horses at the Dressage at Devon show from Europe, Canada, and the best the US has to offer at I1 and I1 Freestyle. At the same show, he won the Born in the USA Ch. Stallion award, the East Coast Final USDF Champion Stallion, and the RPSI Champion Stallion. He has twice traveled to California to compete at the highest level of dressage, the CDI. Team Cardi experienced one of our highest honors in California in April 2011, standing third to Steffen Peters and Jan Ebeling, two former German riders, who now excel in competing for the US.
Cardi is athletic and enjoys jumping as well as dressage. When inspected as a 2 y.o., he earned an 8.5 with NASPR for his freejumping score. With RPSI all his scores were 8s and 9s. He cross trains on the cross country field loving to gallop and jump through the hazards. His work ethic, kindness, suspended animated gaits and prepotency make him a champion under saddle, in hand and in the breeding shed. Many of his offspring are now entering the dressage and inhand sport classes and coming out winners.
